Anyways, today was my first day of classes. I can't say too much as to if I liked it or not, being that I only had one class at each school, but all the teachers were so welcoming and helpful! My first class is with a very tall math teacher from Guadeloupe, Monsieur Genevey. He reminds me of a mixture between Shaggy, from Scooby Doo, and a member of The Temptations, the band from the 70s. The math is taught in English, but it's some advanced stuff, I understood next to nothing, so it could have actually been Chinese for all I know. Nevertheless, that will be a tricky class to "teach". The students all seem nice and excited to have me in there classrooms, although none of them understand the word "Nebraska".
I also got chocolate, but that's not pictured here. I think I should be insect/cafard free for awhile. I've come to really appreciate spiders as well, they are great mosquito catchers, so I tolerate them to live in the corners of the house with me.
Lastly, I paid a special vist to my black pig tonight. I finished a roasted chicken that Ive been eating off for the past few days, and I was very excited to give him/her the remains. She/he was so happy. I could tell by the way she scarfed it down that she was very pleased with me. It's a good thing I don't eat pork, or else it could get a bit awkward giving her/him my leftovers. Although I have eaten pork here. I have to try everything (sorry Mima and Papa). The other day I even ate quiche with ham, that makes both eggs AND ham, neither of which I eat (normally). Oh, and "black pudding", I tried it, it's a specialty here, I took a bite before I asked what it was, I thought it'd be better that way. "Black pudding" is in fact, (mima, you should close your eyes for this next part, it's not Kosher friendly) pig blood and pork in intestinal casing. I could describe in detail what it truly looked and tasted like, but it's a bit too graphic. In short, it reminded me of pig poop applesauce, yum!
